Short description

The City is a 3D city builder for Windows. Draw roads at any angle, zone the land, staff the services and set the budget, and keep every resident housed, employed, moving and happy through four seasons, day and night.

Long description

In The City, nobody is a number. Every resident has a name, a home, a job, a commute and an opinion, and the city only grows when they are happy. Players draw free-form roads, avenues and raised highways, zone homes, shops, offices and industry, and watch building sites fill with cranes as suburbs give way to towers.

Every service needs a building, a budget and staff from the city's own residents. Fire crews race through traffic to a burning house, police patrol and pull drivers over, buses run the routes the player draws, and snow ploughs clear the roads after a winter storm. Seasons change the whole city, from spring rain to fall colour to snow that slows the traffic, and the lights come on after dark.

The City is built in the open with its players. A single key in the game sends a feature request or bug report with a picture attached, and players vote on what is built next.
